Prof Dr. Guru Prasad Sogunuru has been honoured with Sri Krishnadevaraya Award in 2015 and by the Central Government of India with the PRANADATHA Award & TT Devastnanams in 2013. He did his training in Heart Failure, Heart, Heart-Lung transplantation and Ventricular Assist Devices from Australia , electrophysiology training in Cardiac Electrophysiology from USA, and advanced training in Cardiac Electrophysiology, Devices and Heart Failure – from Japan.
Prof Dr. Guru Prasad Sogunuru is renowned Cardiologist, Interventional Cardiologist, and Cardiac Electrophysiologist in Chennai, and has experience of 25 years in these fields. Prof Dr. Guru Prasad Sogunuru practices at Sree Guru Heart & Speciality Clinics in Pallikaranai, Chennai, Progress Heart & Speciality Clinics in Keelkattalai & Annanagar East, Chennai, and MEDWAY Hospital in Kodambakkam, Chennai.
He completed MBBS from Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS), Tirupati in 1996, MD – General Medicine from Kurnool Medical College, Kurnool in 2001, and DM – Cardiology from Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS), Tirupati in 2006. He is a member of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Cardiological Society of India (CSI), and IHRS. Some of the services provided by the doctor are Non-Invasive Cardiology, Cardioversion, etc.
